09 August 2016 – In celebration of the 49th Anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the ASEAN Women’s Circle in Hanoi (AWCH) together with the Vietnam Women’s Union launched the ASEAN – Colours of Culture Exhibition at the Vietnamese Women’s Musuem on 03 August 2016.

The event also aims to commemorate the 1st Anniversary of the ASEAN Women’s Circle in Hanoi.
Attending the opening ceremony were Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga, Honory President of the ASEAN Women's Circle in Hanoi, Ms. Bui Thi Hoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union and wives of the ASEAN countries' ambassadors, lady diplomats as well as representatives from International Organizations. Mrs. Marichu Servigon, wife of Ambassador Noel Servigon led the Philippine delegation during the opening ceremony.
In a short speech delivered by Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga, she stressed that ASEAN has risen as a bright model of regional connectivity, which has contributed to the building of the Southeast Asian region for peace, stability, cooperation and development and that the success of ASEAN suggests that solidarity and “unity in diversity” are the key to connecting Southeast Asian countries under a common roof.
The Philippine Embassy with the help of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NNCA) features the T'boli indigenous group of Southern Mindanao.
The Ms. Zara Gonzaga, Cultural Officer of the Embassy, introduces the Philippine Exhibition to Ambassador Nguyet Nguyen Nga and other Vietnamese guests and officials.
The Exhibition introduces the unique and diverse images of each ASEAN country’s people and traditions. The Philippine Embassy’s Exhibition features the T’boli indigenous group in southern Mindanao.
The said ASEAN exhibition will run for two weeks.
