AUTHENTICATION OF PHILIPPINE-ISSUED DOCUMENTS
(as of 7 November 2024)
Documents issued in the Philippines for use in Vietnam may undergo authentication at the Philippine Embassy in Hanoi or the Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh.
The following are the requirements for authentication of Philippine-issued documents:
1. Apostilled Philippine-issued documents from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) (please refer to apostille.gov.ph/application-process/ for the process of apostillization of documents
2. Copy of valid Philippine passport of the owner of the document
3. If another person will process authentication for the document owner, the following additional requirements should be submitted:
a. Authorization letter duly signed by the document owner
b. Copy of the passport or valid ID of the representative
Note : Other relevant documents may be required by the Consular Officer, if necessary.
e-Apostille is only honored by countries that are members of the Apostille Convention. Vietnam is not yet an Apostille-member country.

Documents issued in Vietnam for use in the Philippines may undergo authentication at the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Vietnam.
The following are the requirements for authentication of Vietnam-issued documents:
1. Vietnam-issued documents must be certified true copy (Ban Sao) with English translation by a Vietnamese notary public and must be authenticated by the Consular Department of MOFA Vietnam (must bear the authentication sticker at the back of the document).
2. Copy of valid Philippine passport of the owner of the document
3. Copy of the business registration of the company (if applicable)
4. Copy of the ID of the employer/representative who signed the document (if applicable)
Note: Other relevant documents may be required by the Consular Officer, if necessary.
Consular fee: 650,000 VND
