PH AMBASSADOR MEYNARDO LB. MONTEALEGRE CALLS ON DR. NGUYEN KIM SON, MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF VIETNAM

Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam H.E. Meynardo LB. Montealegre, during his call on Dr. Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam, on 07 March 2023.

 On 07 March 2023, Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam H.E. Meynardo LB. Montealegre called on Dr. Nguyen Kim Son, Vietnam’s Minister of Education and Training to discuss potential areas for expansion of cooperation between the Philippines and Vietnam in the fiend of education.

Minister Son highly encouraged intensifying the collaborations between the Philippine government’s Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). He also conveyed keen interest for the Philippine educational institutions to consider expanding their operations in Vietnam.

Ambassador Montealegre also thanked Minister Son for Vietnam’s high regard and support to the Philippines bilateral relations and expressed eagerness to expand cooperation with Vietnam in the field of education. He informed Minister Son of the vibrant partnerships between several Vietnamese and Philippine educational institutions, including teacher and student exchanges as well as scholarships. He likewise expressed appreciation for Minister Son’s encouragement for Philippine educational institutions to do business in Vietnam and said that he looks forward to MOET’s full support on this endeavor.
